Montgomery Black Wood Urn

Formal and refined, the Montgomery Black Wood Urn brings a tailored, classic look to any memorial. The deep black finish is paired with a stepped base, a layered lid and a recessed front panel that give it the polish of fine furniture.

Black suits many tributes: it reads as dignified and timeless, and it sits well alongside metal frames, candles and flowers. The recessed panel is a natural spot for engraving a name and dates.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size urn do I need?

A common guideline is one cubic inch of capacity for every pound of body weight before cremation, so a 210 cubic inch urn like the Montgomery Black Wood Urn generally fits an adult who weighed up to about 210 pounds.

Can a wood urn be buried?

Yes. Wood urns can be buried, though many cemeteries require an outer urn vault to protect the urn and keep the ground level. Check your cemetery's rules before the service.

How do I care for a wood urn?

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Keep the urn away from direct sunlight, heaters and damp areas, and skip harsh chemical cleaners, which can dull the wood finish.

When will my order ship?

Place your order before 1:00 PM CST on a weekday and it ships the same business day. Engraved urns ship the same day once the proof is approved by 1:00 PM CST, and anything completed later ships the next business day. We are open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
